The 3rd MRXUH Quality Week was slated last July 23-27, 2018 bannering the theme “Quality in Vision, Quality in Action”. On its’ 3rd year, the longtime plan of conducting a Learning Tour has been materialized as Philippine Sinter Corporation opened its door to MRXUH. The goal of the said activity was to go beyond the four corners of healthcare to see how other reputable companies fair in attaining quality with the hope that the selected MRXUH personnel will find inspiration from the success of these companies.

Philippine Sinter Corporation is the only sinter plant in the country and one of the few in the world. The sinter plant is located at the Phividec Industrial Estate, Villanueva, Misamis Oriental. The said activity was participated by personnel from the different hospital departments.

An infographic contest was also held during the 3rd MRXUH Quality Week where departments were asked to create an infographic poster of a quality practice that is organic to the daily operations of the department — a visual expression of their commitment to a certain practice and to Quality itself.

The entries of the Infographic contest was then exhibited at the Medical Specialty Center Ground Floor Lobby. Included in the said exhibit are the infographic campaign produced by the Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan Dr. Jose P. Rizal College of Medicine Batch 2018 (Batch Atlas).

The Quality Week celebration was capped by a session on Quality Talks: 7S of Good Housekeeping. Quality Talks has been a yearly activity and this year the session was graced by Ms. Evelyn Rivera of the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – 10. RTWPB has been a constant partner of the institution ever since the Quality Week was first celebrated in 2016.

This year was made extra special as Maria Reyna-Xavier University Hospital, Inc. was invited by the Mindanao Association for Quality to share the institution’s journey in Quality Management during the Regional Quality Circles Convention 2018 through the representative to the organization, Mr. Jan Paolo Fernandez, RN. It was an opportunity to showcase the institution’s efforts in improving its services to address the needs of the community through innovation and benchmarking as well as an opportunity for other industries to see quality in the healthcare perspective.
