MOTHER & BABY CARE PRACTICES

We at MRXUH supports the crusade of the government in providing a conducive maternal and child facility for mothers and newborns.

For Expecting Mothers please bring with you the following as this will be asked by our Delivery Room Personnel during delivery:
– Flanella with hood for the newborn
– Tie-on newborn’s clothes
– Bonnet , Mittens and Socks for newborn
– diaper and wet wipes
– extra flanella cloth

We advise you to refrain from bringing formula milk as we highly encourage exclusive breastfeeding for your little ones thus feeding bottles as well as pacifiers are no longer being asked to be brought in .

Rooming-in of newborn is a regular practice to facilitate Mother-Baby bonding and breastfeeding. Well babies are with their Mothers at the earliest possible time after birth. Only babies who need further medical attention are accommodated at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
